Answers for Parents

Is semaglutide safe for teens?

Yes — semaglutide (a type of GLP-1 medication) is FDA-approved for adolescents 12 years and older who meet certain medical criteria. At California Trim Clinic, every teen’s plan is reviewed by a licensed provider to ensure safety, appropriate dosage, and proper follow-up.

Our teen GLP-1 treatment plans start at $199 for the first month, with no insurance required. This includes a full telehealth consultation, personalized care plan, and if eligible, your first shipment of medication. Ongoing care is billed monthly, with no long-term contracts.

Yes — our telemedicine clinic is licensed to treat patients across California, Arizona, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, Washington, Ohio, and Tennessee. Whether you’re in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, New York City, Seattle, Columbus, or a smaller city, your teen can access care from the comfort of home.

Each plan includes:

  • Weekly virtual check-ins
  • GLP-1 medication (if medically appropriate)
  • Family support + teen resources
  • Ongoing safety monitoring via CRM

GLP-1 medications work differently. They support appetite regulation and insulin balance, which can help where typical diets fail. We often help teens who haven’t seen results with diet and exercise alone.

Insurance does not currently cover our program, but we’ve kept pricing low to make care accessible. Cherry financing is available through our page. You may also use HSA/FSA cards, and our team can help with Superbills if needed.
